KITA Held “Online/Offline Korean Merchandise
Exhibition & Consultation” in Ho Chi Minh City
- Set up the exhibition
booths for 32 Korean companies and supported online video consultation for 3
days, and provided live broadcast product promotions -
The Korea International Trade Association (Chairman:
Kim Young-ju) hosted “Online/Offline Korean Merchandise Exhibition &
Consultation in Vietnam” at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC)
in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on December 17th (local time).
The event was held for four days until December 19th,
and 32 small and medium-sized businesses from six regions in Korea including
Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Incheon, Chungbuk, and Jeju, set up exhibition
pavilions to pioneer export channels to Vietnam.
On behalf of entrepreneurs who have difficulty
traveling in other countries due to COVID-19, the association supported 200
online video consultations with 80 pre-matched Vietnamese buyers for three days
by providing video consultation equipment, and placing an agent as well as an
interpreter for each company's booth to introduce the company and products.
Moreover, additional consultations were provided with buyers who requested
consultations on site while visiting the exhibition.
In addition, in connection with the “Vietnam
International Premium Consumer Goods Exhibition” held by COEX during the same
period, Bao Hang who was crowned Miss Vietnam and is working as a singer, movie
star and model, and a local professional show host were invited to conduct live
broadcast promotions.
Cho Hak-hee, the head of International Affairs Group
at the Korea International Trade Association, said, “Since the fast-track entry
system will take effect on January 1st next year, I hope this
exhibition for Korean products will be an opportunity to revitalize the
business between the two countries,” and added, “In the future, the Korea
International Trade Association will continue to serve as a supporter for
Korean small and medium-sized business people to pioneer overseas markets.”
